“I am helping clients be responsible stakeholders of the assets under their care.”

Describe your journey to AMCL and the opportunities provided since arrival?

When a couple of colleagues joined this “AMCL” group in Australia, I was interested in seeing where they had gone and what was different to where I was. I had experience in asset and information management across water, ports, and government, and was on the lookout for leading asset management practice and a good place to work. Since joining, I have worked with multiple government and private clients across multiple industries around Australia, New Zealand, and Indonesia, been able to develop and refine various AMCL service offerings with clients, as well as expanded my own asset management and consulting skills.

What do you most enjoy about working at AMCL?

Primarily the team. Having a good team around me is important, with who we can work hard, bounce ideas and issues off, improve each other’s understanding and identify solutions. And then to be able to celebrate together what we have achieved and have some fun as well. With the recent challenges of Covid, the team has been all the more important given changed working arrangements over the last few years.

How are you helping AMCL clients to make infrastructure more valuable?

I am helping clients be responsible stakeholders of the assets under their care. This has seen me engaging with clients to diagnose issues, develop options, and identify solutions. This includes using our team’s experiences, and then developing roadmaps and enhancing capabilities through training and process improvement. While the diagnostic work is focused on understanding their current state, the setting of roadmaps and improving business capabilities helps clients achieve their vision. It is then pleasing to check back in on clients and find out how they have improved over time based on AMCL’s support and guidance.

Also, I am helping our new AMCL staff come up to speed quickly with our AMCL systems, processes, and toolsets. This helps our clients as new staff are quickly moving through the initial learning curve of a new workplace and speeds up their ability to contribute their skills to our client’s management practices.
