My passion for Asset Management attracted me to AMCL; the opportunity to shape the transport portfolio and fuel AMCL’s growth in the sector was the cream on top! It is great to be part of an organization that is a thought leader in the field.

Describe your journey to AMCL and the opportunities provided since arrival?

Over 15 years ago I started my Asset Management journey with Atkins developing decision support tools and good practice guidance for National Highways and local authorities. I was fortunate enough to have the opportunity to work across some large multi-modal transport authorities (like Dubai RTA, Transport for London, New York MTA) to support adoption of good practice asset management (ISO55000) and to achieve value for money through optimized decision making (applying risk based maintenance, capital portfolio optimization, strategic investment planning).

To gain further exposure to complex transformation programmes and c-suite level interactions I moved to big4s (KPMG, EY) and spent nearly 8 years delivering rigorously tested regulatory plans, complex operating model changes and solving efficiency challenges. I am proud to have led large national programmes for clients like Network Rail, including drafting their CP7 Efficiency plans across all regions and functions last year.

What do you most enjoy about working at AMCL?

AMCL is a well-recognised brand in the field of Asset Management; it is great to be part of an organization that is a thought leader in this subject and has played a significant role in elevating Asset Management globally.

One of the aspects I have been most impressed by is the level of opportunity offered to junior members of the team. Very early on they get exposed to multiple clients and projects (and responsibilities) contributing to a fantastic professional and personal development.

How are you helping AMCL clients to make infrastructure more valuable?

This is a very exciting time for Asset Management; as clients face cost pressures and conflicting priorities, applying the principles of Asset Management can help balance cost, risk and performance and achieve value for money.

Asset Management is not just about maintenance or the frontline but also how the overarching business strategy, people, processes and systems drive decision making and ultimately the customer outcomes!
