Describe your journey to AMCL.
My journey to AMCL has been shaped by a hands-on approach to Asset Management and a passion for optimizing decision-making. Coming from a mechanical engineering background, I was drawn to solving complex infrastructure challenges and understanding how systems interact over their lifecycle. This led me to work closely with government agencies, supporting O&M studies, mission-critical assessments, capital planning, and infrastructure life-cycle analysis. My work has always been rooted in data-driven insights, helping organizations improve operational readiness and cost efficiency.
A turning point came when I came across The Big Picture by The Institute of Asset Management, which visualized many of the challenges I had encountered firsthand in the industry. It reinforced my drive to move upstream – shifting from execution to strategy and ensuring Asset Management aligns with long-term organizational goals. AMCL stood out as the ideal place to make this transition, offering the opportunity to apply my experience at a higher level while continuing to solve complex infrastructure challenges.
What have you been working on recently?
Recently, I’ve been focused on bringing my tactical experience in Asset Management upstream – engaging at both the operational and strategic levels to drive efficiency and long-term planning. My work has involved analyzing infrastructure and asset performance, developing capital investment strategies, and identifying ways to enhance mission readiness through better Asset Management practices.
At AMCL, I’m eager to apply this experience in a way that helps organizations take a more holistic approach to Asset Management – ensuring that operational decisions align with overarching business objectives. I look forward to collaborating with the team to push the Asset Management conversation further and help clients navigate complex challenges with data-driven solutions.
What is something fun you like to do when you’re not working?
When I’m not working, I often find myself getting lost in some sort of DIY project – designing and building a piece of furniture, working on home improvement tasks, or tinkering with electronics. I love taking things apart, figuring out how they work, and putting them back together, hopefully better than before. Outside of that, I really enjoy golf trips, watching Formula 1, and live concerts.
