Describe your journey to AMCL.
I joined AMCL in August 2024 as a consultant. Before joining AMCL, I worked at Accenture, where I gained experience in large-scale digital transformation projects. My background in consulting has allowed me to develop a strong foundation in problem solving, strategic thinking and stakeholder-engagement. I am excited to apply these skills to the field of Asset Management and continue to grow with AMCL.
What have you been working on recently?
Since joining AMCL, I have been involved in supporting a range of Asset Investment Planning (AIP) projects, specifically focusing on implementing enhanced decision making frameworks. Additionally, I have been working on the development of key processes for technology implementation readiness planning with some UK clients.
Being new to Asset Management, these projects have been an exciting opportunity for me to expand my knowledge in the field, particularly when integrating technology driven solutions to enhance operational efficiencies. Working closely with teams across different functions has given me a deeper understanding of industry best practices and the critical role that technology plays in modern Asset Management.
What do you most enjoy about working at AMCL?
AMCL provides a wealth of opportunities to develop technical expertise, collaborate with industry leaders, and contribute to impactful projects. I appreciate the dynamic environment where every challenge presents a learning opportunity. I am eager to continue growing my skills in Asset Management and take advantage of AMCL’s avenues for professional growth to broaden my experience.
Additionally, I value AMCL’s international reach, which allows me to expand my global network and connect with professionals across different regions. This helps me to gain diverse insights and perspectives in the field.
How are you supporting clients, and what are the most common pitfalls you see?
In my experience, one key challenge that clients face is data quality which can significantly impact the effectiveness of AIP tools. Poor data integrity can lead to inaccurate insights, suboptimal decision making and reduced trust in the tool’s recommendations.
To avoid this, we can ensure that there is a structured methodology in place for preparing data for various platforms. This includes best practices, validation checks and ongoing guidance. By proactively addressing data quality challenges, we can help clients maximize the value they derive from their decision making with AIP tools and make more informed data-driven decisions.
What is something fun you like to do when you’re not working?
A bit about me personally—I am originally from Trinidad and Tobago but moved to London for University in 2016. I initially studied law at Queen Mary University of London, envisioning a career in the legal field. However, after completing a Master’s degree in Management, I discovered my passion for consulting and decided to make a career switch. Outside of work, I enjoy traveling, trying new restaurants, and binge-watching Netflix series.
