See you at the 2022 IAM Global Conference!

AMCL’s Ruth Wallsgrove will be presenting From Asset Inventory to Planetary Health: the Past and Future of Asset Management at the 2022 IAM Global Conference alongside Dr. Penny Burns, widely credited with creating modern Asset Management, and Lou Cripps, Asset Management Director at RTD Denver.

The presentation takes place on Day 1 of the conference (15th June) and will introduce the ‘waves’ of Asset Management including how it first got started, approaches for building (and then sustaining) an Asset Management Team and, in collaboration with Blue Mountains City Council, how to make biodiversity and planetary health an intrinsic part of infrastructure decisions.

It will consider the ‘better questions’ Asset Management practitioners need to be asking to ensure future-friendly assets, including the real long-term costs. The presentation will be moderated by Amy Lindblom, AM Director at Sound Transit and IAM USA chair.

Other AMCL team members supporting the conference are:

Richard Edwards, our Territory Director for North America, will be chairing the following sessions:

  • Global Forum Landscape – a panel session on the review and update of the GFMAM Asset Management Landscape
  • Making the Case for Excellence – a workshop on the new IAM guidance on Asset Management maturity – a Pathway to Excellence – and the 10-box model

Guy Parker, AMCL’s Digital & Asset Information Director for EMEA, will be presenting on the IAM Digital Hot Topic – on behalf of this future-looking IAM working group.

The IAM Global Conference 2022 is being held virtually on 15th and 16th June 2022.
