Project Summary

AMCL worked closely with NYPA stakeholders to develop a comprehensive Asset Information Strategy and the associated improvement roadmap, including the following initiatives:

  • Detailed analysis of existing IT systems, ranging from Maximo EAM, (Enterprise Asset Management) to Document Management, real-time systems, Graphic Information System, (GIS) and operational systems.
  • Modelling of asset information use cases across multiple departments to understand the needs and challenges with asset information and Asset Information Systems
  • Development of an Asset Information.
  • Management System, including data governance reporting, and the ‘future state’ IT systems solution architecture.

Project Summary

AMCL were engaged to develop an Asset Information Strategy for ARTC covering the Interstate and Hunter Valley rail networks. This strategy provides principles for specifying new IT systems and tools to ensure Asset Information meets Asset Management decision needs. The strategy provides direction on how Asset Information should be managed, governed and continually improved, including necessary coordination between each of ARTC’s business units.

“ARTC is on a journey towards managing the Australian freight rail network on a risk and condition basis replacing the old time and tonnes method. To achieve this objective an Asset Information Strategy has been produced by AMCL working closely with ARTC stakeholders.
